These scholarships are open to international students at Peking University and other SICA partner universities. Most are administered by the Chinese government, the Confucius Institute, or Peking University itself.
The Beijing Government Scholarship is a municipal-level scholarship established by the Beijing Municipal Government to attract outstanding international students to study at universities in Beijing. It provides partial or full tuition coverage and is available for all degree levels.
The Belt and Road Scholarship is a national-level initiative to support students from countries along the Belt and Road to study in China. It focuses on disciplines aligned with BRI cooperation areas including engineering, infrastructure, trade, and international relations. The scholarship is administered through designated Chinese universities.
Bachelor: No official 2027 bachelor's scholarship call published yet. Under the 2026 undergraduate guide: Chinese Government Scholarship (Type A, through your home country's dispatching authority, CSCA test scores required, PKU as first choice) covers tuition, accommodation, medical insurance and a monthly living allowance; admitted students are also considered for the Beijing Government Scholarship or the Peking University Scholarship (tuition, living stipend and medical insurance, 4 years, renewed yearly) with no separate application. Master: Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B): full or partial tuition waiver, free accommodation, monthly living allowance and medical insurance. Beijing Government Scholarship: Type A tuition waiver, free accommodation, medical insurance and monthly living allowance; Type B tuition, accommodation and insurance; Type C tuition and insurance. Peking University Scholarship for New International Students: full or partial tuition waiver, monthly living allowance and medical insurance. Graduate application period: October 26–December 25, 2026 (Beijing time); some English-taught programs have later deadlines. PhD: Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B): full or partial tuition waiver, free accommodation, monthly living allowance and medical insurance. Beijing Government Scholarship: Type A tuition waiver, free accommodation, medical insurance and monthly living allowance; Type B tuition, accommodation and insurance; Type C tuition and insurance. Peking University Scholarship for New International Students: full or partial tuition waiver, monthly living allowance and medical insurance (4 years for doctoral students). Application period: October 26–December 25, 2026 (Beijing time).
